Section 1 – League Rules & Regulations

A. Participation & Eligibility

  1. Participation in X League Nation is voluntary. Players acknowledge that basketball is a physical sport involving inherent risks of injury. By participating, players assume all risks associated with participation and release X League Nation, its staff, officials, facility partners, sponsors, and venue operators from liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  2. Players must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to participate in the league.
  3. All players must have a valid government-issued identification available at all times for verification purposes.
  4. Any player found using another player's identity, participating under a false name, or playing while not listed on an approved roster will result in a game forfeiture and possible removal of the player and/or team from the league.
  5. All players must review, agree to, and sign the league Rules and Registration Form prior to participation.

B. Team Registration & Rosters

  1. Teams must submit their final roster by the deadline established by league administration.
  2. Each team must designate a coach or team representative during registration.
  3. Teams must carry a minimum of ten (10) players and may have a maximum of fourteen (14) players on their roster.
  4. Players must participate in at least four (4) regular-season games to be eligible for playoff competition.

C. League Fees & Payments

  1. League registration fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the season. Accepted forms of payment include Cash, Check, and Venmo.
  2. League registration fees are non-refundable once schedules have been released unless otherwise approved by league administration.
  3. Referee and scorekeeper fees must be paid before the start of each game. Games will not begin until both teams have paid their required game fees.

D. Game Attendance & Forfeits

  1. Games will begin at their scheduled start time. Teams will be granted a five (5) minute grace period if necessary.
  2. A team must have a minimum of four (4) players present to start a game.
  3. Teams may start and finish a game with four (4) players.
  4. Failure to field the minimum number of players will result in a forfeit. The forfeiting team will be responsible for all applicable game fees.
  5. Teams are required to notify league administration as soon as possible regarding any anticipated forfeits.
  6. A $100 penalty fee may be assessed to teams that fail to provide advance notice of a forfeit.
  7. Any forfeited game will result in a $110 fee to cover game officials and facility costs. Teams providing at least one week's notice may have the penalty reduced by 50%, subject to commissioner approval.

E. Uniform & Equipment Requirements

  1. Only basketball shoes are permitted on the court.
  2. Players may wear a short-sleeve shirt, long-sleeve shirt, or compression top underneath their jersey.
  3. Traditional basketball shorts are required. Sweatpants, pants, cut-off sweatpants, or similar apparel are not permitted during league play.
  4. There are no height restrictions within the league.

F. Facility Rules & Property

  1. Only players, coaches, and league personnel participating in the scheduled game may be on the court. Non-participants are prohibited from entering the playing surface.
  2. Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited within and around league facilities.
  3. Any individual who damages league, gymnasium, or facility property will be held responsible for all repair or replacement costs. Additional disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from the league, may be imposed at the discretion of league administration.
  4. All participants and spectators are expected to help maintain a clean and respectful facility environment. Please dispose of trash properly and clean up after yourself.

G. Sportsmanship & Conduct

  1. Violence, threats, fighting, excessive profanity, abusive language, and unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
  2. League officials reserve the right to remove any player, coach, spectator, or guest from the facility for misconduct and may impose suspensions or permanent removal from the league.
  3. Players, coaches, spectators, and team personnel are expected to treat league staff, officials, opponents, and fans with respect at all times.
  4. Teams are responsible for the conduct of their spectators. Spectators may be removed from the facility for disruptive behavior, and teams may be subject to penalties resulting from spectator misconduct.

H. Technical Fouls & Discipline

  1. Any player who accumulates four (4) technical fouls during the season will receive an automatic one-game suspension.
  2. Each additional technical foul after the fourth technical foul will result in an additional one-game suspension.
  3. Players receiving six (6) or more technical fouls may be subject to further disciplinary review, including suspension for the remainder of the season.

I. Protests & League Authority

  1. All protests must be submitted to the Commissioner within twenty-four (24) hours following the conclusion of the game.
  2. Referee judgment calls are final and are not subject to protest.
  3. The League Commissioner and League Staff reserve the right to interpret league rules and make final decisions regarding player eligibility, suspensions, protests, disciplinary actions, and unforeseen situations not specifically addressed within these rules.

J. Media Release

  1. By participating in X League Nation, players grant the league permission to use photographs, videos, and recordings for promotional, marketing, social media, and league-related purposes without compensation.
  2. Participants may share league content posted on official X League Nation platforms. Any other commercial, promotional, or unauthorized use of league-owned media requires prior approval from league administration.
